LOUISVILLE, Ky. — After many years of waiting, Cook Out may finally be heading to Louisville, Kentucky in the near future.
New documents filed on Tuesday indicate the North Carolina-based chain is eyeing a former Rally’s on Preston Highway in Parkway Village. The restaurant features a wide-range of menu options including burgers, milkshakes and chicken.
According to records filed on the Louisville Metro Business Portal, the company aims to "construct an eating establishment with drive-thru and associated utilities and parking."
"Cook Out Louisville Inc" is listed as the property owner in several documents dating back to May 2024.
Cook Out has 12 locations across Kentucky, but the closest one to Louisville is in Frankfort.
In 2022, the company conducted a social media poll to see where users wanted Cook Out to open its next location.
Louisville, Kentucky came in second, just one percentage point behind Tallahassee, Florida.
