Louisville Firefighter's Union says 'yes' to contract with city

After originally saying no in May, the vote was brought back to the table on Saturday and passed.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Louisville’s Firefighters Union has voted in favor of a new contract with the city.

According to IAFF Local 54 President Jeff Taylor, the voting wrapped up Saturday and passed.

They originally voted no in May against a five-year contract with the city that included a 24% pay increase.

The vote was brought back to the table and the contract passed this time around.

The contract still has to be signed by Taylor, Mayor Craig Greenberg and go through Metro Council.
