LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A Louisville high school has received a generous donation, and plans to use it to build a new sports facility.

St. Xavier said on their social media they received an anonymous donation of $1 million, which will help kick off their campaign for a new football center.

It will be named after NFL All-Pro and 1982 St. X alumnus Will Wolford.

This massive 10,000 square foot facility will have space for more than 220 athletes as well as provide meeting spaces for coaches and new locker rooms for their freshman PE program they said.

“Few places on our campus embody Brotherhood more deeply than the football locker room," varsity head coach Kevin Wallace said. "It’s where lifetime bonds and memories are made.”

The Brother Thomas Moore Page Stadium opened in 2007 and is home to Tigers football, lacrosse, soccer, rugby and track and field according to the school's athletics website.

No other information about this campaign is available.
