LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Louisville is just two weeks away from having its newest mayor take office.
Craig Greenberg (D) will be sworn-in as the Metro's 51st mayor on Jan. 2, 2023.
On Monday, Greenberg announced there will be a public open house at Metro Hall to meet the community following his inauguration.
The open house will take place from 1-4 p.m. and members of the public can meet the city's new administration, as well as tour the building and enjoy refreshments.
Metro Hall is located at 527 West Jefferson St. in downtown Louisville. All TARC routes will be fare-free on Jan. 2, as well, according to Greenberg.
The mayor-elect also announced 21c Museum Hotels co-founder Steve Wilson will serve as the Inauguration Committee's Chair. Greenberg said Wilson is a longtime friend to his family.
"It's a great honor to server as the Inaugural Chair for this special occasion," Wilson said. "I am so proud of the Mayor Elect and I encourage everyone in Louisville to come to the open house, see our beautiful Metro Hall and visit with our new city leadership."
Greenberg will be sworn-in during a private ceremony at Metro Hall earlier in the day, according to a press release.
