LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Another cybersecurity breach has affected some in Louisville.

Louisville Metro Government announced on Tuesday that a third-party vendor they use for health care benefits was compromised.

Health Equity is the vendor Metro Government contracts with to handle their flexible spending accounts and their health reimbursements.

On July 1, Health Equity told officials they were alerted to an anomaly in their systems.

After an investigation, they found personal information was accessed in the health equity system.

Metro Government believes 50 people were impacted and said they will receive letters in the mail with details of the breach.
