LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Police have taken a subject into custody after an incident at Dosker Manor Friday afternoon.
Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD) said that officers and the SWAT team were called to the 400 block of E. Muhammad Ali around 12:00 p.m. The original calls for service was for a “break in in-progress," officers said.
"Our efforts are inside building “C” focusing on an elevated apartment," LMPD posted on X. The department said all residents in building C were asked to shelter in place.
Court documents show the suspect, Anthony Williams, pointed a gun at victims multiple times. They were able to escape, but investigators said they returned later to still find him there.
Around 1:40 p.m., officers reported that the SWAT team took the suspect into custody without incident.
Court documents also reveal Williams was in the Home Incarceration Program (HIP) in September. Officers were alerted to a strap tampering on Sept. 10, and police said they tried to contact Williams.
However, when police got to his last known location, authorities said they couldn't find Williams. He's on HIP charged with assault according to investigators.
His arraignment is scheduled for Saturday at 9 a.m.
