LOUISVILLE, Ky. — After opening its Frankfort Avenue restaurant 17 years ago, North End Cafe announced it was closing its doors.
"Creating and running a small business is challenging work and we couldn't have done it without you," the cafe said in a press release on its Facebook. "We know our sweet space will be filled by another exceptional example of local cuisine."
The cafe filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy on May 3 after its owners were involved in a lawsuit saying they did not pay 18 employees for overtime work.
