Louisville organization rededicates addiction recovery center's campus after late alumni

Saturday would have marked the birthday of Chase M. Daub. A Vision for You on Story Avenue dedicated its building in his memory.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A Louisville addiction recovery center has rededicated its Story Avenue campus after one of its alumni.

On what would have been the birthday of Chase Daub, A Vision for You unveiled the new Chase M. Daub Center.

The center said the dedication honors Daub’s unwavering commitment to the community and his vision for a brighter future, calling him a beacon of hope and inspiration.

Daub’s family said the rededication is a testament to the person he was.

“He came here from jail, and he chose it himself. I think he really liked the Christian aspect of it – that was one of the main reasons he chose it, and he got very involved,” his mother Vicki Daub said.

Daub’s family adds that he was the “funniest, wildest kid you’ve ever met” and it was his mission to help others rebound from addiction.

The community joined together today to celebrate Daub's life and the legacy he left behind.
