Louisville police cancel Golden Alert for missing 21-year-old brain injury survivor

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — UPDATE: Mallory Ripley was found safe Thursday around 3 p.m. 

Louisville Metro Police (LMPD) issued a Golden Alert on Wednesday in hopes of finding a missing 21-year-old woman.

Authorities said Mallory Ripley walked away from her mother at the UofL Neurology Center at the intersection of Chestnut Street and S. Preston Street around 11 a.m., walking south on Preston. LMPD said Ripley is a brain injury survivor and can "no longer care for herself."

She was last seen wearing a blue sweatshirt, black sweatpants, and gray shoes. Police said she is 5ft. 7 in. and 140 lbs.
