LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Jefferson County Public Schools (JCPS) Police has found a student was behind a threatening message towards Marion C. Moore School.
JCPS said it increased building security at the school on Friday as police investigated a social media threat made overnight.
Moore's principal said additional officers were at the school to determine if the threat was credible.
In a letter sent to students' homes Friday afternoon, JCPS Police found it was a student that made the threat, and that student will be charged.
Principal Jason Detre asked parents and guardians to use this as an opportunity to have a conversation with students about what they post online.
