LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The final leg of the Louisville Triple Crown of Running takes place on Saturday, March 30, and Louisville Metro Police have announced which roads will be closed.
Motorists who frequent downtown Louisville should be prepared for delays as several streets are expected to be closed from 4 a.m. to 1 p.m.
These roads will be closed for the Triple Crown 15K:
- River Road from Witherspoon Street to Indian Hills Trail
- River Road from 9th Street to Bingham Way
- Witherspoon Street from Preston Street to 2nd Street
- Jackson Street from Washington Street to Witherspoon Street
- Main Street from 8th Street to 6th Street
- Witherspoon Street from Jackson Street to River Road
- 7th Street from Main Street to River Road
- 6th Street from Main Street to River Road
- Witherspoon Street from Preston Street to River Road
- 1st Street from Washington Street to Witherspoon Street
- Brook Street from Washington Street to Witherspoon Street
- Floyd Street from Washington Street to River Road
- Preston Street from Washington Street to River Road
- Bingham Way from Witherspoon Street to River Road
- Washington Street from 1st Street to Preston Street
The Triple Crown 15K is the last series of the year, and it leads up the the Kentucky Derby Festival Mini- and Marathon according to authorities.
