LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- This weekend, hundreds of Pokémon Go players will converge on the Louisville Zoo hoping to “catch them all.”
Local Pokémon players plan to meet Sunday at the zoo and search for Pokémon.
“Pokémon is everywhere, and apparently it’s everywhere at the zoo. We are a veritable gold mine of Pokémon spots here. We've got about 33 spots, and we're told we have four gyms as well which is a pretty hot spot for the game,” Kyle Shepherd, the zoo’s public relations manager said.
The zoo welcomes Pokémon players-, but they're hoping you'll look up from your phone occasionally to see some animals.
Sunday's event is from 11a.m. – 6 p.m. To get in to the event, visitors must pay zoo admission.
