LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Louisville Zoo will soon transform into a winter wonderland for guests to explore just in time for the holiday season!
Celebrate the festive season with the zoo's polar bear, Qannik, and her animal friends during "Qannik's Beary Happy Holiday".
There will be special holiday-themed activities during the first three weekends of December and guests can visit the zoo's gift shop to write letters to Santa at the north pole from December 1-17.
Officials said guests can enjoy a month-long scavenger hunt for all ages by scanning the QR code when they arrive at the zoo.
Santa and Mrs. Claus will be stopping by the Zoo on December 16-17 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

That same weekend, holiday elves will have special sweet treats available throughout the park, including fresh roasted s'mores, hot chocolate and cookie decorating.
The holiday event is included in regular zoo admission or membership. Anyone who brings at least one non-perishable food item can purchase discounted zoo admission as well. The discounted tickets are $10 per adult and $7 per child or senior.
The food drive is part of the zoo's Wild Winter Days, which run through Feb. 29, 2024.
Officials said twenty-five cents of every admission ticket will also support conservation efforts of the Louisville Zoo.
