LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A man is hospitalized after being shot on Thanksgiving Day, according to a press release from the Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD).
They say it happened around 9:12 a.m. in the 1000 block of West Muhammad Ali Boulevard.
When officers responded to a home there they found a man shot.
He was taken to UofL hospital for treatment.
The release says officers got information about another person, who they believed could be involved, still inside the home.
Officer tried to get the person to come out but were unsuccessful.
They requested help from LMPD's SWAT team and they cleared the residence, the release said.
No one was found inside when officers entered the home.
They say because the victim was critically injured LMPD's homicide unit is investigating the shooting.
