SHEPARDSVILLE, Ind. — A man is dead after being shot in Bullitt County on Sunday, according to the Bullitt County Sheriff's Office.
They say shortly after 11 a.m. deputies and officers with the Hillview Police Department responded to the 1400 block of West Hebron Lane about a shooting.
When they got there they found a man with multiple gunshot wounds inside the home.
The man was later identified by the coroner as 41-year-old Yuri Valcarcel-Herrera.
He was taken to the UofL hospital for treatment and later died from his injuries.
The sheriff's office is investigating this shooting as a homicide.
They say this is an isolated incident with no threat to the public.
