LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A motorcyclist is in critical condition after a motorcycle and Jeep collided in southwest Jefferson County.
Third Division officers responded to Dixie Highway and Dixie Garden Drive around 6 p.m. Tuesday.
In their preliminary investigation, LMPD said a Jeep was traveling southbound on Dixie and was attempting to make a left-hand turn into Kroger. The Jeep turned in front of the motorcycle causing the man to be ejected from it. He was wearing a helmet.
The man was taken to UofL Hospital where he is being treated for his injuries.
Police said the driver of the Jeep did remain at the scene and isn’t facing any charges.
The accident cause Dixie Highway to be shut down in both directions for a while.
