LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A man in a wheelchair is dead after he was struck by a vehicle on Dixie Highway.
According to Metro Police, officers were called about the accident on Dixie Highway and Stonegate Manor Drive around 6:20 p.m. Tuesday.
Officers said the man was found in his wheelchair after being hit by a motorist headed southbound on Dixie Highway.
Police attempted life-saving measures, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver remained at the scene.
LMPD said traffic was moving slow in the area as their investigation continues.
