LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A man is expected to survive after being shot on Fern Valley Road on Tuesday, according to the Louisville Metro Police Department.
They say around 11 a.m. officers responded to I-65 North at Fern Valley about a person shot.
When they got there they found a man with a non-life threatening gunshot wound.
Early reports show the man was shot while driving his car on Outer Loop and getting on I-65 North.
Officers performed life saving steps until emergency services arrived and the man was taken to UofL hospital for treatment.
They say he is expected to survive.
West Outer Loop and at least a portion of I-65 North near Fern Valley will experience partial closure while the Non-Fatal Shooting Unit processes the scene, LMPD said.
LMPD says there is no reasonable suspect at this time nor did they say anything about what could have lead up to the shooting.
