The Metro Council approved a resolution back in February that called for the placement of two signs at the corner of Louis Coleman Jr Drive and River Park Drive and one at the corner of 35th Street and River Park Drive.

Councilwoman Cheri Bryant Hamilton calls Jones an icon in the fight for civil rights and these signs will help the legacy that Jones and Lewis Coleman Junior left behind for the younger generations.
