LOUISVILLE, Ky. — McRib fans, the wait is over. It’s coming back!
The McRib Sandwich is coming to Louisville McDonald's on Dec. 3 for a limited time only.
The iconic food item has left and returned to the menu many times but during this run, the fast food chain is offering fans an even bigger way to celebrate its return.
McDonald's is offering hardcore fans half-gallon jugs of its signature, tangy McRib sauce. Fans can snag a jug starting November 25 at 10 a.m., at www.wholelottamcribsauce.com while supplies last.
The McRib made its debut in the United States in 1981 as a limited-time item in the Kansas City area. It quickly became a fan-favorite.
The famous food item is a seasoned boneless pork patty slathered in BBQ sauce and topped with slivered onions and tart dill pickles, all on a homestyle bun.
The McRib has become a seasonal sensation, captivating fans with its limited availability, sparking social media buzz, and igniting a flurry of anticipation each time it returns to McDonald's restaurants.
Its reemergence on the menu has consistently resulted in long lines and enthusiastic outpourings on social media platforms from devoted fans.
The McRib is available starting December 3 at participating restaurants in Louisville for a limited time. Fans can also order a McRib via the McDonald’s app.
