1 dead after motorcycle, SUV collide in Old Louisville

Police said a man who was operating a motorcycle in the area of 4th and West Hill Street disregarded a red light and collided with an SUV on Sunday.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A man is dead after a motorcycle and an SUV collided in Old Louisville.

Metro Police responded to the injury crash at South Fourth and Hill Street around 4:50 p.m. Sunday.

According to LMPD’s preliminary investigation, the motorcyclist was headed north on Fourth Street, disregarding a red light and collided with the SUV that was traveling west on Hill Street.

The motorcyclist was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.

On Monday, the Jefferson County Coroner's Office identified the victim as 54-year-old Eric Taylor.

LMPD is handling the investigation.
