LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – The body of Muhammad Ali has arrived in Louisville ahead of memorial services set for Friday.
Ali’s body was transported from Phoenix to Louisville on an Eastern Airlines 737 which also carried dozens of family members.
His large 8-car motorcade stopped traffic as it traveled from Louisville International Airport to A.D. Porter and Sons Funeral Home Fern Creek location.
Muhammad Ali’s memorial service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at the KFC Yum! Center. Family spokesperson Bob Gunnell is expected to reveal addition details regarding ticketing for the service Monday morning.
Ali will have a private burial at Cave Hill Cemetery.
