LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A Louisville police officer was honored a year after he was shot while responding to the mass shooting at Old National Bank.
LMPD officer Nick Wilt received an honor during Louisville’s baseball game as part of Heroes Weekend at Jim Patterson Stadium.
This week marked one year since a gunman opened fire at the bank killing five people.
Wilt also met with Mayor Craig Greenberg on Saturday.
The mayor called him a prime example of the sacrifices first responders and their families make daily to protect the city.
