LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Oldham County Schools said police have tracked down the individual they believe is responsible for sending threatening text messages at two of their schools.
Communications director Lori Webb confirmed the messages targeted East Oldham Middle School and Oldham County High School.
They said police were able to track the communication to a specific address and identified a juvenile who admitted to sending the messages.
“While the investigation against the individual will continue, OCPD has now been able to confirm there to be no active threat to any Oldham County School campus,” Webb said in a statement.
Webb wants everyone to know that threats against their schools will not be tolerated.
She said the juvenile will face discipline according to OCS Board policy but will also face “legal ramifications.”
