LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – A fireplace malfunction is to blame for a fire at the Park at Hurstbourne Apartments on Hames Trace, just off of Hurstbourne Parkway and near Bardstown Road, in fern creek.
This is the second time the complex has caught fire in about a month.
The apartment the fire started in was vacant.
Four different departments rushed to the scene. It took crews about 30 minutes to get the flames under control.
No one was injured.
