These popular Highlands bars have been shut down. Here's why.

According to the owner of the building, the tenants haven't paid rent in months.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — "Nowhere" and "Somewhere" bars in the Highlands have been shut down.

The owner of the building says they evicted both bars, which were under the same ownership, for failing to pay rent.

Currently, a "for lease" sign is sitting outside of the building on Bardstown Road.

Back in January 2020, a man died after getting into a fight with a bouncer outside of Nowhere Bar. The Commonwealth's Attorney later decided he would not be charged.

Also, in late 2022, the owner of the bars was arrested after being accused of sexual assault. Those charges were dropped last September.
