LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A Louisville Metro Police officer is injured after they were involved in a crash with their police cruiser Thursday morning in the Edgewood neighborhood.
At about 3:30 a.m., an LMPD officer along with another officer who was the passenger, were travelling northbound on Preston Highway when they collided with another car that was making a left turn from southbound Preston Highway onto East Indiana Trail.
As a result, both officers and the driver of the car were transported to UofL Hospital. Officials believe all parties will survive.
The LMPD Traffic Unit is investigating this crash.
