Officials: Tornado siren malfunctioning in Jeffersontown, there is no tornado in Louisville

The Metro Louisville Electrical Maintenance group silenced the siren just before 8:30 p.m.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — There is no tornado in the Metro Louisville area. 

Just before 8 p.m. Friday night, The National Weather Service in Louisville reported a single Tornado Warning Siren had been activated in Jeffersontown.

Louisville Metro Emergency Services said it was a malfunction and that there are no active weather warnings in Metro Louisville.

The Metro Louisville Electrical Maintenance group silenced the siren just before 8:30 p.m.
