LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The city of Louisville is hosting a special ceremony to remember the lives taken tragically in the Old National Bank shooting.
Wednesday’s ceremony will focus on standing together, spreading love and reminding everyone that Louisville remains strong while honoring Tommy Elliott, Jim Tutt Jr., Josh Barrick, Juliana Farmer and Deana Eckert.
“We remain committed to keeping their memories alive, and to giving our team members the time they need – on this emotional day – to mourn the friends they lost, and to love, care for and support one another,” Chairman and CEO Jim Ryan said in a statement.
Mayor Craig Greenberg, Gov. Andy Beshear and Dr. Jason Smith are among guests expected to speak during the ceremony.
Those who wish to attend the ceremony can visit Louisville Metro Hall’s Rotunda on the second floor or watch the stream live.
All Old National Bank locations in Louisville will be closed on Wednesday to allow employees to dedicate the day to caring for themselves and each other.
Locations outside of Louisville will close at 1 p.m. to participate in the “Walk to Remember.”
The walk will take place throughout the region and allow 4,000 employees to honor those lost in the tragedy and other lives impacted.
Old National Bank also plans to host blood drives through the week of April 10. Officials said blood donations were critical in saving lives during the tragedy.
