LOUISVILLE, Ky. — One man is dead and another is injured after a fiery crash on Sunday night, according to a release from the Louisville Metro Police Department.
They say around 11:56 p.m. officers were called out to a crash in the 3800 block of Southern Parkway.
A pickup truck was traveling on Southern Parkway when the driver lost control of the truck, collided head-on with a tree and caught fire, the release said.
Louisville Fire and Rescue along with LMEMS were dispatched to the scene.
Louisville Fire was able to extinguish the fire and when emergency crews entered the truck they found the driver suffering from serious injuries.
The passenger was pronounced dead at the scene, the release said.
The driver was taken to University Hospital and his condition is unknown.
The crash is still under investigation.
