The Oscar Mayer Wienermobile has been an American icon for over 80 years.

Oscar Mayer uses the Wienermobile at special events throughout the country to spread brand awareness and smiles.

You can track the Weinermobile as it moves across the country on their website.

The Weinermobile has been a part of the companies brand since Carl Mayer, nephew of the company’s founder, came up with the idea in 1936.

General Body Company of Chicago, Illinois, designed the first Wienermobile.

The hot dog has been hitting the road for many years and was only briefly discontinued in the 1970's, according to the history of the Weinermobile.

It was brought back in the 80s after being seen again at a 50th birthday celebration for the company. People wrote letters and sent card begging for a return and Oscar Myer followed suit to commission a new fleet of rolling hot dogs.

There fleet doesn't only include the Weinermobile but there is also the WienerDrone and WienerCycle.

The WienerCycle is a three-wheeled moped, ideal for tricky urban deliveries, traveling on land with a sidecar that doubles as a hot dog warming station. The WienerDrone is the first unmanned hot dog-carrying aircraft designed for remote location delivery, according to the history of the Weinermobile.

There are currently six Weinermobiles spreading the love of hotdogs across the country.
