PARC to offer free parking for Small Business Saturday

Louisville residents and guests are urged to shop locally to support small businesses Thanksgiving weekend.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The holiday season is quickly approaching, and the Parking Authority of River City is encouraging Louisvillians to shop locally and in person.

PARC is offering free on-street metered parking on Small Business Saturday.

“Louisville is full of wonderful small businesses that make this city unique and special,” Mayor Craig Greenberg said. “I hope residents and visitors are able to take advantage of this gift to help shop local for gifts this holiday season.”

PARC has meters in many locations including downtown, NuLu and along Bardstown Road and Frankfort Avenue.

If you’re looking to make the most out of a single stop, the Louisville Independent Business Alliance is hosting HoLOUdays with Small Business Saturday events in South and West Louisville.

The events will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Colonial Gardens on West Kenwood Drive, followed by Small Business Saturday West Louisville at the Norton Healthcare Sports and Learning Center from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

On hand will be vendors from surrounding neighborhoods, giveaways and activities for children.
