LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Ford's newest vehicle is designed with the active family in mind, and it will be built right here in Louisville.
The 2025 Expedition line has all new technology, and is focused on versatility Ford officials said.
The newest Expedition joining the line, the Expedition TREMOR, is off-road ready and built for the tough terrain with the rock crawl mode and trail one-pedal drive Ford said.
Fully capable of transporting eight people, Ford officials said the fifth generation Expedition delivers on the comfort, roominess and connectivity that customers have come to expect.
“For Expedition customers, family is at the center of everything they do,” Trevor Scott, the general manager of Ford Utilities, said. “We spent more than 1,100 hours talking with customers about their everyday lives. And with those insights we’ve rethought and redesigned Expedition to help customers make the most of their precious time with families and to make life easier – before, during and after every trip they make.”
Ford said the new digital experience in the Expedition will allow drivers better connection and personalization with specific profiles, and focuses on voice commands.
As far as the versatility goes, cargo management is a priority; officials said the new Ford Split Gate "combines the best of a traditional SUV liftgate with the cargo management of a pickup truck tailgate."
“It was designed to not only get customers to where they need to go, but to be the center of the experience once they arrive” Jill Dougherty, the exterior designer for the Ford Expedition, said. “Our goal was to enable customers to linger longer whether they’re at the stadium or the campsite.”
Customers can start ordering their new Expedition on Oct. 24 at any Ford dealer; the vehicle will be on dealer lots in the spring officials said.
