MT WASHINGTON, Ky. — (WHAS11) -- Thanks to the internet, we have all seen our share of outlandish marriage proposals. Think flash mobs and NFL players proposing on the field. But a man in Mt. Washington, Kentucky had a proposal idea that totally surprised and even scared his bride-to-be.
Before he popped the question, Adam Emberson asked for some assistance from his buddies at the Bullitt County Sheriff’s Office. They came up with a prank proposal in the form of a traffic stop.
Deputy Ford pulled the couple over and asked for license and registration. Adam was driving, and his girlfriend Erin began to explain to the officer why he was driving her car as she shuffles to find her information.
A few minutes later, Deputy Ford asked Adam to step out of the vehicle and then asks Erin to step out of the car. He pats down Adam and finds the ring in his pocket. That’s when Adam gets down on one knee and Erin begins to laugh in relief.
She said yes, but she joked that she would have to think about it because of the way he asked.
Of course, the whole thing was captured on camera. Check it out below!
