JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. (WHAS11) -- A psychiatrist for the Indiana man accused of killing his estranged girlfriend, and eating parts of her body, said he is competent to stand trial.
Joseph Oberhansley's attorneys can contest the psychiatrist’s opinion, a judge will hear their arguments next month.
Police found Tammy Jo Blanton dead in her Jeffersonville home in 2014. Oberhansley claims two other men killed her.
He's charged with murder, burglary and rape. He could face the death penalty if convicted.
