Rajon Rondo expected to plead guilty months after traffic stop in southern Indiana

Court records show a change of plea hearing set for Sept. 3.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Louisville native and former NBA star Rajon Rondo is expected to change his plea following gun and drug charges stemming from a traffic stop in southern Indiana.

Court records show a change of plea hearing set for Sept. 3.

Indiana State Police arrested Rondo in Jackson County in January after he was reportedly driving recklessly on I-65 South with a minor inside the car.

A trooper said an odor of marijuana was emitting from the car and upon a further search, he found the suspected marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a loaded gun.

Rondo is charged with unlawful carrying of a handgun, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
