Registration portal for 2025 KDF miniMarathon, Marathon goes live; Here's where to register

Their limited time special ends on Sept. 7.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Time to start training runners, the Kentucky Derby Festival's (KDF) GE Appliances miniMarathon and Marathon registration portal went live early Thursday morning.

The races are set for Saturday, April 26, 2025. They typically attract more than 10,000 runners every year according to officials.

“The GE Appliances miniMarathon and Marathon have become bucket list races, drawing thousands of runners from around the country and the world to Louisville each spring,” KDF Race Director Chris Martini said. “We’re opening registration with special early-bird pricing, so this is the perfect opportunity for participants to get the best deal of the season for the 2025 races.”

Early registration for the miniMarathon starts at $55 and the Marathon starts at $65, but the fees for both races will go up by $5 every 24 hours until Sept. 7 KDF officials said. Once the limited-time offer goes away, the miniMarathon will be $65 and the Marathon will be $75.

You can register for either race here.

Both races will start at 7 a.m. on April 26 on Main Street near Slugger Field according to officials.

However, there's a twist this year; the new finish line will return to Preston and Witherspoon Streets KDF officials said. This will be the first time since 2019 that the finish line will be at that location.

The courses for both races are still being finalized KDF officials said.
