LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- The 4th of July is coming early in Southwest Louisville.
The Riverview Park Independence Festival is planning to return this year on Saturday, June 27th.
It will be a day of music, food, fun and of course fireworks.
Country rocker, JD Shelburne is the headliner for the event.
Kids will be able to enjoy the splash park, puppet shows and free hot air balloon rides.
10,000 people attended the free festival last year and organizers are planning for even bigger crowds this year.
The festival gets underway at 3 p.m. and the fireworks start at 10 p.m.
