LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – The Salvation Army has announced changes to their Angel Tree registration process.
Starting in October, families in need of help will need an appointment letter stating a specific date and time to register.
Officials say it will make registration efficient and people will not have to wait in line and waste time to go through the process.
Area commander Roy Williams says it will also help to determine how many volunteers will be needed.
Letters can be picked up in person at the Salvation Army on South Brooke Street between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. from Aug.17 until the registration begins.
