LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Summer camp is something children may look forward to, but for some, it's not always a guarantee. The Salvation Army is making sure everybody gets the experience.
This week, the nonprofit is taking nearly 50 underprivileged local kids to Camp Paradise Valley near Burkesville, Kentucky.
The week-long camp provides a chance for city kids to be exposed to outdoor activities and have the time of their lives.
The camp is covered by donations made to the Salvation Army.
