Man injured in Valley Station shooting crashes into tree

Police said the victim was shot on Libby Lane but tried to drive when he crashed his vehicle on Anita Boulevard.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Metro Police are investigating after a shooting victim crashed into a yard in Valley Station.

The incident happened around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday on Anita Boulevard just off Valley Station Road.

According to an LMPD spokesperson, officers found a man with a gunshot wound in a car that crashed into a tree.

The man was taken to the hospital where he is expected to survive.

Investigators believe the shooting actually happened on Libby Lane nearby. They said the driver got into a vehicle, making his way to Anita Boulevard.
