LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – A police department in southern Kentucky is being investigated by top authorities.
Kentucky State Police and the FBI executed a search warrant Monday at the Horse Cave Police Department in Hart County.
KSP confirms they are assisting the FBI but wouldn’t be more specific.
The FBI released a statement saying they “executed a legal process by a federal judge.”
According to Bowling Green Daily News, state and federal authorities removed electronics and files from the police department.
Horse Cave Mayor Randall Curry told the paper as of Monday no one in the department has been placed on leave because of the investigation.
Curry says he expects to meet with the city’s attorney Tuesday.
