LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Earlier this year, Stellar Snacks announced they were investing millions of dollars into a pretzel bakery on Dixie Highway in west Louisville. Now, they are searching for people to fill some of those jobs.
The woman-owned and Nevada-based company will be hosting a job fair on Saturday, Dec. 16 from 1:30 – 4:30 p.m. in the cafeteria of Dr. J. Blaine Hudson Middle School, located at 1107 South 17th Street.
“I’m thrilled to welcome Stellar Snacks to Parkhill and applaud the commitment they have made to our community! I encourage all qualified applicants to attend this job fair and express your interest in this new opportunity,” Councilman Phillip Baker (D-6) said.
Stellar Snacks will be interviewing applicants for jobs such as: electrical engineer, electrical/mechanical technician, and pretzel maker/oven operator.
The company will invest $137 million and create 350 new jobs over the next 10 years. Officials are expecting the starting pay for these jobs to be $30 an hour.
Stellar Snacks specializes in vegan products like pretzels and roasted nuts.
Officials ask those who are interested in attending the job fair to bring a resume and RSVP in advance here. When you go, use the front entrance and parking lot of the school.
If you are selected, you will be required to temporarily relocate for a comprehensive 4-6 month training program in Carson City, Nevada. Candidates will learn the skills necessary to work in the new Louisville facility.
If you are unable to attend the job fair, but are interested in one of the above positions, please email louisville@stellarsnacks.com with your resume and position you are interested in.
Construction on the 434,000-square-foot facility is set to begin in March 2024 with rollout of the first products at the location in September 2024.
