LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS 11)--Tara Singh won the WHAS 11 Regional Spelling Bee for a 2nd straight year.
Now she is one of 45 national finalists in the Scripps National Spelling Bee.
That competition gets started at 10 a.m. May 26 on ESPN2.
Only 12 spellers will advance to the championship round.
Tara and her father tell WHAS while she is nervous, she studied a lot and is taking things one word at a time.
Tara says she is proud to represent Kentucky and she is grateful for WHAS 11's sponsorship.
