LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A well-known restaurant and bar is leaving downtown Louisville, according to officials.
TGI Fridays' Fourth Street Live! location will now be permanently closed as the company shuts down additional restaurants throughout the country.
A sign on the restaurant's door notified residents it officially closed earlier this week on Monday.
"We value our guests that we have proudly served for the last 20 years," the sign read. "Please visit us soon at another one of our locations. Thank you, for allowing us to serve you!"
"TGI Fridays is closing this location along with dozens of others across the country," Jenny Clements, regional director of marketing for Live! Hospitality and Entertainment, told WHAS11 on Tuesday.
Clements added that Fourth Street Live! plans to announce "multiple new openings soon."
