LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Google has released new data highlighting the top trending baby name searches across the United States in the first half of the year.
According to Google, "bridgerton inspired names" and "taylor swift inspired names" were among the top trending "inspired name" searches over the past year. Meanwhile, the letter P, A, and V are the top trending "baby names that start with..."
Here in Kentucky, the top baby name search so far in 2024 has been "Avery" and in Indiana it's "River."
"Freya" has been the most searched baby name across the U.S. so far though, according to Google.

Last year, America's top baby names were Liam and Olivia.
Olivia has been the most popular girl name for five years in a row and Liam has reigned supreme for seven years now for boys. In 2023, there were 20,802 babies named Liam and 15,270 babies named Olivia, according to Social Security Administration data.
We'll learn the top baby names for all of 2024 next year around Mother's Day.
