Multiple homes damaged after tornado in Kentucky's Oldham County

The tornado was first reported in eastern Clark County, Indiana before crossing into Kentucky.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Authorities are working to assess damage after a possible tornado hit parts of the WHAS11 viewing area on Tuesday.

The First Alert StormTeam confirmed the radar-indicated tornado originated in eastern Clark County, Indiana before crossing over into northeastern Jefferson County around Prospect.

"We have reports of multiple homes damaged, roofs off and wires down. Prospect fire and police are on the scene assessing damage. Right now no injuries have been reported in Louisville," Mayor Craig Greenberg said.

High winds from that likely tornado flipped over multiple semis on I-265 Westbound near the Lewis and Clark Bridge.

There have been reports of damage in Prospect with two people being rescued from a collapsed home, according to South Oldham Fire.

Damage has also been reported around Utica, Indiana but the extent of it is not immediately known.

Injuries elsewhere have not been reported.
