LOUISVILLE (WHAS11) -- The United States Attorney's Office is asking that an officer accused of sex abuse be kept in jail during his trial.
Former Louisville Metro Police Department Officer Kenneth Betts was indicted last week on federal charges connected to the sex abuse scandal with LMPD’s Explorer Program.
A judge granted him home incarceration during the trial and was ordered not to use a computer or the internet.
Prosecutors argue there is no way to be sure if he is following all the orders of home incarceration.
A judge is expected to make a decision by mid-November.
