LOUISVILLE, Ky. — If you need help paying some of your utility bills, the Emergency Wastewater Rate Assistance Program (E-WRAP) and the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) is here to help.

There is still money available to help through MSD's E-WRAP program; the discount is for 3,000 customers living in Bullitt, Jefferson and Oldham Counties, and MSD said they haven't hit the 3,000 customer mark.

It's a 30% discount available for customers whose household income is at 150% of the poverty line or below.

You can apply by either calling 502-540-6000 or on their website.

The discount is valid through Oct. 31, 2024.

And the Louisville Metro Office of Resilience and Community Services started accepting appointments for crisis benefits on Tuesday.

The program helps eligible households that are facing a heating emergency like a total loss of heat or an eviction due to unpaid electric bills.

It's also available to customers whose household income is at 150% of the poverty line or below.

The benefits cover the amount you need to solve the problem, and you can re-apply every time you experience a crisis, until you reach the max.

To schedule an appointment, call 502-991-8391 or check out their website.
