LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Louisville Metro Police Department is investigating after a 20-year-old man was found shot to death near Valley Station on Wednesday.
Officers with the department's Third Division responded to a shooting in the 6300 block of Sydney Renee Way around 10:45 a.m. on Nov. 29.
At the scene, officers found a man dead from a gunshot wound. Details about the shooting are limited.
On Friday, the Jefferson County Coroner's Office identified the victim as 20-year-old James Brown Jr.
LMPD's Homicide Unit is investigating and said all parties have been accounted for.
Authorities said once the department's investigation is complete, the case will be sent to the Commonwealth Attorney's Office for their review and recommendations on charges, if necessary.
